It was a sunny and beautiful Sunday. Melanie and her bridesmaids got themselves ready in a room above the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum in McMinnville, Oregon (where the original Spruce Goose is held!). They were far, far away from where Eric was getting ready with his guys in the building next door. The bride and groom had chosen not to have a first look, and everyone went to great extents to make sure there were no accidental sightings before the ceremony at the Evergreen Chapel. Excitement was in the air.
Judging by the way these two looked at each other down the aisle it was so worth the wait. Throughout the entire ceremony there was such adoration in their eyes and conviction in their words. Melanie was prepared with tissues and I’ll admit, I may have come close to tearing up once or twice while editing these photos.
Melanie and Eric celebrated with their guests at their reception at the McMinnville Grand Ballroom. Melanie’s father gave a hilarious toast (especially for someone who claimed to be bad at speeches.) The flower girls rocked the dance floor. Laughs were had during the newlywed game as the couple learned a thing or two about each other. The personal touches to this wedding were so perfect for them, from tiny first aid kits as wedding favors to Melanie’s U of O garter. They exited through a tunnel of sparklers and were soon on their way to Maui!
I want to extend a big thank you to Eric and Melanie for asking me to be their photographer. I know that their life together will be a wonderful one <3
