I’ve got mixed feelings about summer coming to an end.
As someone who loves the feeling of stepping out the door on a sunny day, and who hates being cold, I like to pretend that those grey skies aren’t on their way. Remember, I also live in the Portland area.
But then I think about all the fall portraits I’ll be able to shoot, and I feel much better.
This family portrait session, taken last fall, reminds me just how beautiful autumn in Oregon can be. Look at those leaves! The colors! The cute sweaters and boots!
This session is a perfect example of family portraits not needing to be challenging or boring. With families, I like to find good spots and basically just let them go. Coda felt like it was just another day in the park, and I was able to get genuine moments of her exploring the world around her. By allowing them to have fun and move at their own pace, we were also able to get adorable mother-daughter and father-daughter moments. Thank you Kindi, Chad and Coda for the chance to give you family portraits! Until next time!
